Phone verified accounts permit you to only post one ad every 48 hours in sections that require phone verification. The good side however is that many spammers have been eliminated from posting as they live outside of the USA or live in the USA but can not get enough phone numbers to continue posting like they used to. It seems that Craigslist is on a never ending battle in its attempts to stop unwanted spammers. All in all, I think Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts has had a positive effect on Craigslist.
